Default 2008 Tpa. Bay Kitemaster Race Update???

Any new information as to what’s going on with the race. I haven’t heard much lately and I see that the last information shared in a post from11-01-2007 reads that the race will be early to mid January.

I've been practicing my d-winders from the Gandy to the Skyway and also from Indian Rocks to P.G. I plan on finishing this thing this year!

Thanks in advance..

We are hoping to have it near the end of February. We dont want to overlap with the Jupiter Invasion which should be in early February.
This year will be another Bay run... "BACK to the BAY!"
(Gandy to north Skyway).
We are trying to also put together a speed run. This will probably be for exhibition/fun only. I have been trying to get a GPS company involved (Magellan/Garmin) but with little success.
Any corporate sponsors wishing to participate please contact me.
Volunteers with jetskis are also needed.

More updates coming soon.
Jayson

We should have the registration open by next week. We are also getting a press release together to start pulling in sponsors. As Jayson posted, we are looking at sometime in February to hold the downwind race in the Bay. There are some possible additions to the race to make things intresting. We will post when the NEW website goes live and registration is open.

Thanks
Chris

Does anybody know if the course you are thinking of holding will be the same ones as 2 years ago?

There were some pretty shallow sections on that course which were easy for twintips to get thru but directionals w/ fins might blow out a fin...

out of curiosity any certain reason this thread appears under "whats going on" and not with the other threads about the kitemasters under the kitemasters section? http://www.fksa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=49

Cool... the bay race was fun! I was on the wrong board last time (but still did pretty good) so I'm really looking forward to seeing how I do on the right combination.

What are you thinking is the right combination?
TT or Directional? Monster kite or reasonable size?
BTW, you will still lose to Billy.
I only want to beat one person, Tom... and it's you.

Well Scott, I'll tell you if it'll help you win.

9'6" longboard and a 7m fuel. Now you know my secret. Good luck!
