Sorry guys, I just spoke with the Park Managers office and Crandon is closed to kiting COMPLETELY until perhaps after Labor Day starting Friday, May 25, 2007. In the past they enforced this firmly. From what I have heard you can't even kite there weekdays during this period. The new manager wasn't available but I will speak to him about this and see if we can gain access on weekdays as in the past.

Crap. The new manager must be grumpy. Last year, during this period, we were able to kitesurf during the weekdays!!
Anyways, where can I go kitesurfing tomorrow?
Miami Beach?

Miami Beach, Matheson ( yuck! ), or dift launch in Biscayne bay.

There may also be a secret spot or two that nobody is prying from my fingers till I'm dead!

Talking matheson on Sat.

Aloha...Matheson wasn't that crowded today..pretty weird being a weekend day and with Crandon being closed.Winds were good(lil gusty) but, all in all, no tragedies and a lot of sore happy....and satisfied riders at the end of the day...guess a lot of peeps had thought that it would be too crowded to ride...so didn't ride there (lucky for me...hee) was a sweet day..
Gonna miss Crandon though...
