I appreciate the feedback. Just so I am clear. If I am facing the water (shore and parking lot to my back), where are the oyster beds? To the left and directly in front of me, etc? How far away? How is the right side? Any more advice is appreciated (want to keep my skin).

See attachment. Also if I'm not wrong there are two posts in the water. watch out for them. Good luck!

I plan on going around 4:30pm today if conditions hold. As for the oyster beds, as long as you don't go too far into the south pool or the north point you should be OK. It does get very shallow though at low tide. As for the gusts, this place always seems gusty, imo, regardless of the direction.

I may try as well. I only packed a 12M and it looks like it may die down by then but I will probably drive by....... Tony 214.415.5180 |

Went to Cypress after work and and it was gusting to mid 20s. Rigged the 9m and it sucked. It went from blasting around to sitting in the water wating for a gust - it was off and on like a light switch. There were some periods when it stayed on which made for a bit of fun. Oh well, hadn't been out in a month so at least I got something. I'm so glad the days are getting longer!
