Thanks Chad,
I know that if you had a speed board and then wind at lassing park was blowing up to 40 and you were on one of your cabrinhas lit, you would have no problem maintaining an easy 40knts. Not to bring down what I am doing but its easy with a speed board. They allow you to go so much faster with out even trying. Wipe outs though do not change, they still suck. There are people that are peaking out over 60knts. It is scary and the water we are riding in is shallow. It is all about having the right wind, wind direction, and having the right tide. From what I have seen and heard from all the top riders is the tide will be perfect for a matter of only 10 mins. You have to be on the course and ready to hit it at the right time when the depth of the water is right. You might only get one shot at it when the conditions are right, cause it takes about 10 mins to get back to the top of the run. Its fun here but man I wish I could do a long down winder down the beach. That is what I enjoy the most. |

The last 2 days here have been epic! Robert Douglas just made a new american speed record at 50.95 and Frenchman Alex Caizergues broke the world record with 50.97. Both runs were in mins of each other and it was very impressive to watch. The wind was blowing around 38 and it was gusting into the low 40's. The sand was coming off the desert and filling the air making it hard to see when walking out to the water. To see people flying and wiping out going as fast as they were was insane. The wipe outs were the most impressive I have ever seen in my life.
The videos will be up soon on my site that show my travels and allot of the riders . The internet sucks here so its taking a while but they will be up soon this next week. Cheers Mike MikeHallkites.com |

Nuking
Next time it nukes around here (25 MPH +), bring your speed board out to EB and lets see what real speed looks like!
BTW: I hope this exposure helps your standing with Cabrinha and your other sponsors.
