I got an idea. Why don't you just draw out a vector image on adobe photoshop or some other program. Then break the image into sections that can be printed out on multiple papers. Not regular computer paper, but a plastic-like type paper. Then adhere to the board with spray adhesive and overlay with clear coat or fiberglass. That is how I made this one. Made it 3 years ago but still haven't used it because I still haven't learned how to kitesurf.

You can use an ink jet printer and rice paper to print graphics. The rice paper is supposedly invisible under epoxy or polyester. The trick is finding the right kind or rice paper that prints OK and getting a wide format ink jet printer (big investment). I've never tried it as I usually freehand my graphics.
