FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS. SEAS BEYOND THE REEF 6 TO 9 FEET...EXCEPT HIGHER IN THE GULF STREAM. SEAS INSIDE THE REEF 2 TO 4 FEET. NEARSHORE WATERS VERY ROUGH. ISOLATED SHOWERS. More wx info through: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=6733 The main choices in Islamorada are Whale Harbor and Annes Beach. Local info would be a good idea before rigging as you say.

Was able to get a session in, yesterday and today. Wind was not blowing as forecasted.
On friday the wind direction over land cause some bad wind shadow. And it was COLD! Did get to see many familiar faces. Today was better condition. Wind was almost blowing from the east. Fantastic turn out from locals. It is amazing how many kites you can squeeze into that patch of beach at Whale Harbor. Ray and the 7Kiteboarding crew are great at welcoming all the guests. Heading out tomorrow and it might be the best day of the weekend. :-( Oh well, looking forward to coming back soon. |
