Wind on the way!
Looks like the entire state is forecast to have wind at points over the next several days. Down side is an apparently violent squall line at the leading edge of this cold front bringing some hazardous conditions. Severe weather including tornados are forecast. It is hard to tell duration but it seems like it is to blow over much of the State on Thursday. Looks like the SE might be getting wind back after the frontal boundary moves over for the weekend.

Looks like some wind should be coming through South Florida over the weekend. They also took out Saturdays "gusts to 35 kts. from 15 to 20," just as well. Things may be about 5 kts. stronger in the Keys. For now, there is little in the way of storm activity forecast too, even better!
TONIGHT NORTH WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 5 FEET NEAR SHORE AND UP TO 5 TO 7 FEET IN THE GULF STREAM. INTRACOASTAL WATERS A MODERATE CHOP. SATURDAY NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET NEAR SHORE AND UP TO 7 TO 9 FEET IN THE GULF STREAM. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. SATURDAY NIGHT EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS BECOMING 20 TO 25 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET NEAR SHORE AND UP TO 6 TO 8 FEET IN THE GULF STREAM. INTRACOASTAL WATERS ROUGH IN EXPOSED AREAS. SUNDAY EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 5 FEET NEAR SHORE AND UP TO 5 TO 7 FEET IN THE GULF STREAM. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS.

Things are changing again with the latest forecast. Stronger winds are returning, anticipated to gust to 35 kts. tonight and tomorrow night. It is strange it is supposed to be substantially stronger tonight and tomorrow evening with lighter stuff (15 to 20 kts.) during the day.
Short version, actual conditions may differ, make sure you are rigged right for actual conditions. The forecast keeps changing but I have a feeling there may be some strong stuff mixed in with this system. Doesn't sound like 12 m weather at all by some of the forecast, smaller kites needed for the stronger stuff and before it hits. Check the wind and forecast wind and make sure you have the right sized kite and experience to go with for actual and developing conditions. Gusts to 35 kts., if it comes in the day, are what that very experienced rider in La Ventana had that was lofted. Some forecasts at: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mfl/marine.php

Nice sized waves for Key West Paul, do you have any pictures of kiting on a standup board or directional in the swells there? How did it go today guys? Did it go off again in Islamorada Brad? It started late here, around noon.
