anyone that windsurfed in the late 80s and early 90s remember the sails with the cutout area on the leech-it was the hottest thing and was supposed to twist off in the gusts to increase range. They were more expensive at first too but then design trends changed bak to a normal profile and those cutout sails were sold cheap. This years next best thing may be 2009's closeout special... Windwing is offering an unconventional kite shape this year too.

I think you guys are exaggerating a little, c'mon, it's only 1500 for a 9m and only 1840 for a 16m.
