I'm taking my gear to work and will split as early as I can. It comes down to If we get a break in the big thunder boomerz. I was thinking a great place to ride, especially for newbies, is Lido key down by Sarasotta. We never see Ebone up here any more. I'm sure He would be glad to host the dozens of fresh new faces. Lido can't be beat on a SSW for your first hundred or so down wind terror drags through the launch zone.

I got my stuff, but MAN, it is raining A LOT and radar looks bad.
Tuesday was really good out at TI until the lightning came. Maybe down south around Venice is good? It says it's blowing 20 and radar seems okay down there. |

My absence is not explained by some radical, secret spot in SRQ, though. It's summertime and I have outgrown chasing thunderstorm-driven wind. I am spending my time running and playing tennis. I'll see you guyz in October when it starts blowing again. |

It just kept getting better and better out at Blue Flag.
Started off at about 11 to 13 knots for a couple hours, then at 6:15 or so went to solid 15 to 17 for at least 2 hours. Pretty nice all in all. Even some "waves". Mike, Matt and Josh did a downwinder. Who was on the gold waroo up around P.A.G.? Was that you Bleighty? Man... TONS of brown mainly and some green algae washed up on the beach, though. I do mean literally tons. It is gonna smell out there in a couple days. |
