no water
Seeing the trees sway and hearing the wind blow all day was driving me nuts! I held on to my sanity by telling myself I'd grab a quick ride at backside on my way home. All the way to the skyway I was getting psyched, but comming through the toll booth there were no other kites to be seen. No water!! I swear you could have walked to EB except for the channel. Man I hate to let another day of good wind slip by. I did see one kite over at Desoto. WHo else got some today?

Man, bob you should have ridden! I really wanted to ride the north skyway in offshore winds...the water was flat as glass but there is a sandbar far out so it's not "really" off shore.
Would have been fun!! |

I looked at the south side as I drove by and thought the same thing. It was side off from the launch but blowing toward the other near by shore. I should have called you to see when you'd be going by. I wasn't up for the solo launch and ride. We'll have to give it a try the next time a massive cold front rolls through, maybe in May...
