Will we start a little later if the wind is west at 9am thursday morning? Otherwise the race is a reach and not a downwinder...

That's what makes this race unique - half way reach, half way downwind tack...

Chris,
What forecasts are you all using over there? It seems as though both windguru and noaa are still good. While I would prefer to do it on a weekend, I guess that we have to get it while the getting good. Windguru is showing something for Tuesday of next week also, but this is a long way out. If we can get 15 to 20, it's all good to me. When will you all make the final call so that we can make arrangements? Thanks. Kent |

Right now we are in a holding pattern. The forecast is still good with most models. We will look at it again at the 4:30 update and know more.
Luckily it seems it will be a West to WNW wind which is a faster and easier run than a NW or NNW. AS OF 12:30 PM Tuesday NOAA: Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 74. West wind between 10 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph Ikitesurf: showing 19 knots from the West Wunderground Thursday West winds 15 to 20 knots...shifting to the northwest. Seas 5 to 7 feet |
