Wind!?
Just got a call from Nick about conditions, so I looked in on the forecast page,
http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=6734 Shazaam! What a difference a night makes. Yesterday they were saying 10 - 15 dropping to 5 on Sunday. Not any more ... TONIGHT EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 25 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SATURDAY EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 25 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. SHOWERS LIKELY AND CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SATURDAY NIGHT SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 25 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. SHOWERS LIKELY AND SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SUNDAY SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS BECOMING EAST 10 TO 15 KNOTS IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 4 TO 6 FEET SUBSIDING TO 2 TO 4 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON. INTRACOASTAL WATERS CHOPPY IN EXPOSED AREAS. SHOWERS LIKELY AND SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mfl/marine.php Sounds like there are going to be squalls throughout so be on your guard. They are scattered currently but may build in size and abundance at times. Get in and secure fast before anything gets too close to you. The forecast will likely change through time, so check in on things. Looks like the small showers were receiving are being thrown off the top of TS Gustav, so they may continue for a while. Some may have some nasty cells embedded in them, so have a care.
