WIND for the NEW YEAR!!!
Who would have thought, nice wind on New Years Day! Blowing 20 to 24 kts. SE in Delray, 18 to 25 mph at Dania, 15 to 20 mph at Crandon, 23 mph at Sand Key, 15 to 23 mph in Jupiter. Seems ligher or offshore in areas further north and west for now. Could change though. Enjoy the useable wind guys, nice change from the offshore stuff!

Went out and got some on a 9 m, it was lighter at times and well powered at others. Nice waves too, anyone else grab some water time for New Years Day?

I had a quiet spell in the morning, when the wind flipped direction a few times and then hit us!
It blew for the rest of the day - I saw one of our instructors teaching a group on a new 5m with short lines. That thing just shifted through the air and turned on a dime - perfectly powered up for some hardcore downwind body-dragging! Looked like great fun, actually! I was teaching all day, so didn't get to kite, but it was great to see everyone enjoying the wind. Glad the temperature has come back up to sensible levels again - at 78 degrees with sunshine, I'm back in boardshorts. Now I just need to wait for the neoprene-induced tan lines to even out! Sounds like you had a decent little session today Richie |
