Hey all,
Looking for a place to stay in Bimini this weekend. Any suggestions? We know Bimini Bay resort, but looking for something low key this time. Thanks! J |

A few places come to mind starting with Bimini Big Game Resort and Marina, Sea Crest Hotel and Marina and Bimini Blue Water Resort. More about these at: http://www.frommers.com/destinations...63_indacc.html
Have fun!

do the sea crest. book the one on the hill and not on the marina. if you get a high floor on either side the view is great. Big Game is closed. have fun.

Big Game is closed? So is the End of the World the only bar left?

Good advice on the Sea Crest. Hey Kent is the Big Game closed for renovations or permanently? I had no idea it was shut down.

Yow, just found this on tripadvisor.com from Oct. 2008 (I was last there in July 07):
[Sadly, the current owner has apparently not been paying the electric bill. When we arrived at Customs on Bimini, they said, "Oh, nobody told you?" The power was off and a skeleton crew remains. They sent us down the street to the Seacrest (wonderful place). It appears the Big Game Club is for sale. Hopefully they will find a good... more That really sucks. It is ironic to see an island adrift. Hope it lands someplace close to as good as it once was, soon. Looks like it has been purchased. This is on the new website: The old club needed renovation to be sure. This architectural concept seems to belong in another place. Then again, there is quite a bit of that going around over there.

i almost forgot. if you are going for kiting, you might also consider bimini sands as the southern tip of south bimini works in NE -E - SE- S- SW - W - NW. On North Bimini you really need to ride in the Bay most of the time unless you get dead north or any west component.
