Information Request
Hello my fellow Kite Junkies
I bring these questions to your section of the forum do to your local knowledge. A buddy and I are planning a trip to the Skyway area some time in November to fish the fall grouper run and put some time on the water. I prefer to fish and spend most of the time on the North Skyway Pier and that general area, but were willing to head to any better areas (for kiting) Are there any areas to Camp? Or reasonable hotels? Thank you in advance for your input Michael |

I would have figured there would have been some more advise/information offered  . No worries, The best adventures are had by just letting it happen. Were bound to see some of you on the water in NOV  |

I would have posted the same thing. Ft Desoto would be the best place. No sense all of us posting the same thing 60 times.

Ft Desoto Campground is a great place to camp! :P
Ft Desoto has some of the best launches in the area so you will be right on top of the area's best places to ride. There is also a VERY nice boat ramp right next to the campground as well as a bridge that you could fish off of. It sounds like the best place to meet your needs. -Lurker Toby  |

Cheers to all the Willing & "Former" Lurkers that have come forward and shared there knowledge of this Florida Kiting Mecca.
I just knew you fella's had it in you :P Fort De Soto Park/Campground (Area 1) Looks like an in creditable place to check out. I've traveled up that way maybe 8 times in all the years (35) I've lived in the Southeast, Hard to leave the tropics I suppose :P Seriously my fellow kite junkies, Were looking forward to kiting a new area and Fort De Soto looks like a good home base for our extended weekend. Any Kiting Restrictions we should be aware of ? Question answered: http://www.tampabaykiteboarding.com/...ines/local.htm Thank you: Option, y2k, Scott & Toby |
