PLS SIGN the PETITION
this petition is on kiteforum...pls read and sign. After 3 kiters broke the 50 knot barrier over 500m, the ISAF is not currently recognizing their efforts. This action on their part is a disgrace!
Petition is short and to the point steve http://www.petitiononline.com/kite50kn/petition.html |

It is very short, takes seconds. These riders have shown a lot of commitment and heart. Imagine wiping out at high speed a few dozen times or more up to a record attempt, the short time leads are kept and continuing drive to go faster. They deserve what they've earned. Let's help some fellow kiters and our sport out.

Is there more information on this? I quickly looked at the ISAF webpage and it mentions a number of different classes, where exactly are they trying to get recognized? Is it a specific class or just as top wind powered transport?
checking into it further, is seems the record is accepted at wssr. Also, it seems that the ISAF added a depth rule of 50 cm because of kiteboarding. Seems weird to create a rule and then not allow a record, does anyone know why they are saying it shouldn't count? Last edited by OttoNP; 12-01-2008 at 10:39 PM. |
