East coast FL wind
I'm new to Florida, when does the wind die on the East coast?
Can you ride all summer? |

Where do you ride on the east coast? The summer thermals may be better along the NE coast than in some other parts.
Usually, it tunes out around Mid May, estimates vary as you can see. Sure you can ride all summer, just not in Florida. The Florida summer survival riding guide will go up in a while with tips on how to make it through the light wind days until fall.

I ride mostly in South Beach. Actually, there are plenty of Summer days when I could ride the afternoon breeze with a big board and kite, but I'm only 150 lbs.. Anyway, I think I'll usually opt for scuba diving instead.

I ride anywhere from Jupiter to Deray. I cross the state from Naples looking for wind.

It is too early to bring this back to the top, I hope! Have a look at it for ideas in advance to the calming of winds: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=500...ummer+survival
