Smathers this weekend
Whats up Doc ? Give me a call when you get in town ,last friday was one of my best sessions ever at Smathers, the wind was a steady 26 mph and I was riding my 12m Thruster, there was a great crowd hanging out and kiting, including 3 guys from Michigan and some guys from the Miami area.
Lets hope we get another good blow this week, but give me a call and we can meet up for some beers. Greg |

Never been down there, how is it for beginners? I can get up and ride, but i still have problems switching directions smoothly.

smathers this weekend
Meangoat, the launch at Smathers can be a bit tricky for beginners, however once you are out in the water just stay clear of the poles and dont block the inside section and you should have a good time, we also have miles of riding space out on the flats, you can contact the guys at THE KITEHOUSE for trips out there, if they are full , give me a call and if am going out and have extra room you are more than welcome to join us.

Second what Greg said, try to hookup with The Kitehouse. You won't be sorry you did with good winds. It is that much better out on the Flats compared to the beach.
Read over the following link carefully. Lots of new riders and some experienced ones fall into traps fairly easily at Smathers putting themselves and our access at risk: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=5813
