good news boys!
So i just picked up May's issue of Women's Health magazine and your dreams have come true. There is a 3 page article on kiting called "lift off". Apparently an editor from the magazine came down for a weekend and took lessons. The first instructor was a "blonde burley guy named shawn" and the other one was "steve". Didn't realize shawn was burley, but either way its pretty cool. They mention Three Rooker as a great place to learn, tell women not to show up on a beach with gear and this article because they have to take lessons in order to avoid a "kitemare"
The information was a lot more accurate than i anticipated when i started reading, so that's definitely a good thing. A couple props to Real in the article (possibly via shawn?) Anyway...the second page of the article says in huge letters "YOU CAN DO THIS!". So... maybe your wishes for more kite chicks will come true. Can't hurt, that's for sure. |

My new issue of Oxygen magazine also had an article about kitesurfing. It's a Canadian fitness and body building publication directed towards women. It's great to see more of us kitechicks out there, but it's even better for all you guys to have us out there!!! LOL
