Intriguing story, thanks for posting it! Lots of intense encounters on the left coast. We have had a real bad one here all too recently but they seem to have many more involving surfers, divers and swimmers off California. This guy is into some creative imaging too. Wonder how expensive his UW pano housings are?

Funny you should bring the word Mako up We have been hearing stories of a 10ft one shot off the reef club in Jupiter in 10 feet of water.

Shot with what? An arbalete speargun? I thought guys largely gave up on that in the early 60's.

What am I missing? I couldn't find the picture he's talking about taking.
Clicked on both links in that article. Would like to see the photo. A ton of comments at the article are crying foul and saying it's all photoshopped. |

Where's Mako?
Jetpack, when you first click on the link and see the picture of the Newport Pier, in the left hand side of the blue border of the picture is a "next" link, click on that and you'll see the shark.

Thanks Frank, I looked around for the shark images as well without success. Those are some impressive closeup shots.
