S. Coast Guard said. The divers had failed to surface during a dive at the shipwreck, authorities said. Coast Guard officials said someone on the commercial dive boat Republic Seven called in the emergency about 3:20 p.m., prompting them to launch two helicopters to scan the waters in the area. A Coast Guard helicopter located the the two divers two miles north of their dive site. They were reported to be in good health. The Spiegel Grove, a retired 510-foot Navy vessel that was deliberately sunk as an artificial reefin 2002, draws thousands of scuba divers from around the world each year. There have been some accidents there, at least six of them fatal. In March, three professional divers from New Jersey drowned in the shipwreck after they ventured into an off-limits section in the bowels of the vessel, about 135 feet deep, and were unable to make it out. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/loc...home-headlines A video of the wreck in good viz.
