Default "Doesn't matter how you rig it, as long as you rig it r

Famous quote from Laird Hamilton re windsurfing sails.
But it may apply to kites too.

Got the new 06 Reactors as you all know. Questioned their performance over near flawless (IMHO) 05s. Kites would flare and choke/stall in light air.

Sailed the 12m on Sunday with full CL depower- stalling gone! Even when pulling on bar. Super fast and stable. Ergo the back lines must be too short when sailing in anything but top end of kite range. So I progressively shortened the front lines (as the wind grew lighter and I need the CL power back) and even in the very light wind that ensued the kite was stable and did not stall.

In all I probably shortened the front lines by nearly 3-4". A bunch.

Next up is to shorten centre line power/depower throw- AR pro Dimitri Maraminedes uses only about 6-7cm of throw! I'll not go this short but will take it down progressively.
