Its easy to body drag upwind. It takes practice but I can usually make it back to my board in 1 or 2 short tacks depending how far it is behind me.

Most newbies tend to put their kite at 12 to fast when they approach their board and get pulled down wind. Keep the kite low and near the edge of the window and then use your leading arm and legs as your rudders. Keep the kite depowered until you get more proficient at body dragging upwind.
