J-3 DAYS
WE ARE GOOD TO GO:
AFTER REVIEWING THE LATEST FORECAST WE MAINTAIN THE EVENT FOR THIS COMING UP SATURDAY APRIL 7th at CRANDON PARK, NORTH BEACH.
We can expect 12 to 15 kts of North wind shifting NE throughout the day. This is a perfect sideshore direction on Crandon which makes it easy and safe to ride in and out the Beach.
Remember that the contest is a buoy race with small obstacles to jump. Therefore, according to the wind conditons, we can set the buoy in a way that all riders will be able to make the course .
Just bring your large size Kites . All type of boards are accepted for the race.
Make sure to bring your HELMETS, required to ride in Crandon.
Prizes for the contest are as follow for each category Men and Women:
1st : $500 cash
2nd : $250 cash
3rd : $150 cash
All contestants will be also given : T-shirts, helmets , other accessories, goodies... complimentary food and bar, and as a Premiere this year ; a raffle for Contestants-Only will allow them to win: 2 ECLIPSE kites.
Basically each rider entering the Contest will win something and get their entry fee worth it.
MAKE SURE TO REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ONLINE : ENTRY FEE IS $50 online and $70 the day of the event . !

For all other riders and participants, we want to remind you the Kitesurfing Guidelines to ride in Crandon especially that day of intense attendance on the beach and on the water:
We remind you also that each non-contestant rider will have to register at Miamikiteboarding Booth to get a streamer before going on the water.

b.. IKO OR PASA LEVEL 3 REQUIRED ( STAY UPWIND CONSTANTLY ) Iko cards and check out process available that day via MKB instructors
c.. NO RIDING IN SWIMMING AREA ( SOUTH OF CORRIDOR)
d.. NO JUMPING 100 FEET FROM SHORELINE
e.. NO KITES ON DUNES AND PASSED THE BEAR CUT PRESERVE AREA
The rest is only fun and riding.We'll see you all there this saturday 7th.
Plan to come early to avoid traffic at the toll due to Easter weekend
Registration for the Event starts at 9.00AM for Competitors and Sponsors 10 AM for
Spectators.
