Usually on a forecast south (in the winter) there is a frontal boundary to our north.
As it nears and it gets warm here with the heat of the day, the SSE winds light up (meaning goes from about 11 straight to 20) and then gradually shift to SSW and then SW.

This is what happened 2 Fridays ago and I thought last weekend it would.
It usually does. Last weekend was just weird. I think all the wind was up to (too far).
Trust me, I don't have a clue as to the whys b/c I don't read weather books, but I have observed trends or patterns over the last 20 years with the wind in this local area.
That is one "pattern" which usually holds. Fishing is the same why, I don't really care "why" tarpon do things, but after awhile, you start to know the whats and recognize patterns.

Doppler is showing that band to our north again, so I am hopeful.
However, given the fact that is El Bastardo or whatever, I have no idea and am just throwing chicken bones around here (I suspect Josh Linker is too).

Either way Donna and I are going out today and getting some sun and hopefully some wind.
