Thunderstorms are starting to show up regularly. It's a good time to think ahead to all of the good wind we'll get this fall and reflect on how it's not worth dying over a summer session because you kited next to a thunderhead.
I had my epiphany last summer after I saw a bolt hit the middle of Big Pass, right where I had been riding, about 30 minutes after I got off of the water. There were no atheists on the beach at that moment.
