Default It's not all about Wonderment & Glory, sometimes things go wrong

Been into technical diving for many decades and made plenty of mistakes particularly in the early days. It is easy to lose sight of consequences in the excitement of the challenge of embarking on something new or revisiting something more familiar but still unique. I came across a video clip recently that provides a disturbing insight into what can and has gone wrong in deep SCUBA technical descents. The narrative is in Hebrew, I think, but the images get the point across as a special team of divers descends into the Blue Hole near Dahab, Egypt to evaluate what happened to one diver. Along the way, they encounter the remains of other lost divers on the bottom.

WARNING - I don't not recommend that people with particular sensitivity to these issues watch this clip. It contains graphic, impacting images. Unless of course they are into technical or deep free diving. In that case, it may be worth your while to view the harsh reality of what can go permanently wrong in pursuing something we love.
