There are a bunch of free image hosting sites, photobucket.com, smugmug.com, and
http://www.flickr.com/
It is FREE to join and if you are already registed with yahoo.com, you can just sign in using your existing information.
Uploading images is EASY. If anyone has trouble with uploading photos to the Flickr site please PM ricki and I will try to help you out.
IF you want to embed a photo in a post here, an example of how to do this is given below:
1. Go to "Your" photos that you have uploaded to Flickr, for example:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/36991846@N00/
2. Click on the photo that you want to embed in a posting.
3. Click on "See different sizes" that appears on the right hand side of the page.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, highlight and copy (Control C) the address that appears in the window below "1. Grab the photo's URL:"
5. Go to where you want to embed the image in your post and type:
[img][/img]
6. Paste the copied address between [img][/img] or [img]*http://farm1.static.flickr.com/29/52842179_29661ed3a1.jpg?v=0[/img]
(type without the *)
resulting in:
It seems complicated initially but in fact it is pretty easy once you get used to doing it. Please PM ricki if you have questions.
