2010 Coastal Cleanup at Ft. Desoto with Action Sports Foundation/ Kite4Life, Junior League of St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay Watch, and Eckerd College.
We will be meeting at Shelter 12 at 9:00 A.M. Sat. Feb. 27th to clean up the beaches, cut down Brazilian Pepper trees, and painting some park benches. Gloves and trash bags, water, and a light snack will be provided. If you have saws and/or lopping shears, please bring them.
Once the cleanup is complete, there will be a potluck lunch and cookout. Please bring food, drinks, grill items, or sides and let's show this group how kiters like to do it.
This is our first event of 2010 with the park and would like all kiters and their families to come out and show their support for the park and these local organizations.
If there is wind, we will be inviting the guests down to the beach for a kiteboarding exhibtion, as they have all shown great interest in the sport, and looking forward to learning more about it.
