We'd appreciate any history. Thanks, Gene
Be careful at this and all shoreside launches to not annoy the rangers or lifeguards, if there are any, or bystanders. Often enough it is just one motivated upset person that has successfully worked to get kiting banned.

At Bahia Honda be sure to park at the lot on the Up Keys side of the Park and walk up the shoreline in the same direction beyond the swimming area. Ride beyond the buoyed swim area. This is a rare spot that might be lost for some kiters ignoring these simple steps.

If you use a boat in the Keys, your own or chartered/rented your riding area opens up to hundreds of square miles with few hassles.
