MAP it does a great job of listing the spots around Tampa/St. Pete. I'm actually from Miami, but I'm up here for a while, the local scene is great (despite what you might see on the boards this weekend) - the closest spot to the convention center is Cypress, flat water, shallow soft bottom, so-so launch area. Wind looks like it's going to be funky Sunday but Monday looks solid, I'll definitely be out at Cypress Monday afternoon thru sunset - the guys said there are some oyster patches/beds so wear some booties.
