Keep in mind Kent, that if the race is run on a SW, the gulf presents much cleaner conditions. The chop only gets nasty when it is from the NW.

This just in from NWS

FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY
SOUTHWEST WINDS AROUND 10 KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO
3 FEET. BAY AND INLAND WATERS A LIGHT CHOP.

SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY
NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 20 KNOTS. SEAS 4 TO
6 FEET. BAY AND INLAND WATERS CHOPPY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN SHOWERS.

iKite is showing NW winds at 20+

Accuweather showing NW winds from 20 gusting to 36

Something is coming.
