WE have a dozen active instructors in Tampa Bay, but the demand is still exceeding supply of quality instructors. We are in discussion with IKO to hold an Instructor's Training Course (ITC) and an Instructor's Equivelancy Course (IEC) late this summer in TAMPA BAY. Our goal is to get every instructor IKO certified to be eligible for Instructors insurance at a group rate. Cost of course is 790.00 and takes 5 days to complete. We have to plan this well in advance, as IKO will be sending a Master Instructor from Cabarete to run this ITC. We have several signed up for the ITC and IEC already- its a huge savings over traveling to Miami and spending 150.00 a night for a hotel. Please take advantage of this great opportunity to get certified and carry the proper insurance for teaching.
For those interested in teaching part-time, I will be conducting an Assistant Instructor course over the next 2 months, cost of this course is 150.00 and several locals are already signed up. Assistant instructors will also be eligible for coverage under this policy.
