Sometimes the guys go into the Loxahatchee River a few miles upstream from Jupiter Inlet by boat. There is a sand bar there. Still, I wouldn't go there myself as land wind effects are probably substantial.

Best advice would be to tool up the coast a ways, not that far to Sebastian Inlet. They have a peninsula jutting into the ICW that is good for ESS to W to NNW winds. Land effects are minimal. More about this at:

You could do a trip to the Miami Flats to the south if you can find boat space. It can be pretty incredible out there and rideable in winds from any direction, more at:

Yes, I've been saying we are having more of an old fashioned winter, like I remember from the '70's. Windy! Hope it goes off during your visit.
