OK, we know you want to step it up a notch this season, so we have something really sweet planned for you! it's our first-ever Riders Clinic!!!!!
With the popularity of strapless riding and kite specific surfboards being offered by most manufacturers, we went straight to the "Top", As in, Kevin "Top Hat" Senn from Hawaii.......
He is a true pioneer of the sport and probably the most recognizable mug in kiteboarding. The "Hat" is going to offer a free strapless surf & skimboard clinic for Tampa Bay locals on Sat. and Sunday Sept. 20-21, 2008 at a location to be announced the week of the event.
Top Hat is the newest team rider for Freak Dog Kites, a Florida kite manufacturer, who will be there with all 2009 gear on hand for demo. We are also hoping that another FDK Team Rider, Bryan Lake, can make it as well- to share his big bag of kite-skim tricks with us! They will also be joined by more of the "Dog Pound" team, including Joe Harkness and owner,Scott Polera.
Freak Dog kites are celebrating their first succesful year and have new kites, new boards,clothing and 2 new carbon fiber kite-surfboards. The Freak Dog Team members are active supporters of all TBKA/K4L events and programs. Please support local Florida kiteboarding businesses.
As in all TBKA events,if its No Wind, No worries..., There will be several other fun events for local kiters throughout the weekend.
