Thanks for comments on Tampa Bay wind sensors. Realize nearby sensors offer reasonable picture of wind conditions at Pass A Grille. As I mainly kite off St. Pete Beach and Pass A Grille its nice to have a working sensor on the beach...particularly on marginal days when a few knots of wind make the difference between riding and flopping around.

In any case the e-mail to IWindsurf reporting the outage got the reply below posted on the IWindsurf.com Pass A Grille wind condition page that follows...

"8/20/2008: We are investigating the source of the outage and as soon as new info is available we will post it here. Thank you."
