Default Kitesurfing Insurance

Its been quite a dangerous kitesurfing year already... 3 injured feet, 2 kiters across the highway, broken ankles, kitesurfers in powerlines.
Luckily only the kitesurfer has been injured so far but what happens when you injure someone else?
I talked to my insurance agent and he recommended an "umbrella" policy. This will cover you up to $1,000,000.00 for liability. It can be expensive though. Most companies first require you to have $250,000/$500,000 policy limits on your auto before they will write an umbrella. For me its an extra $700 yearly but I consider it well worth the cost.
Remember, if you injure someone or put your kite in the road and cause an accident... YOU WILL BE SUED!!!!
Talk to your agent. Maybe someone out there can find better deals. Please post here if u do. Oh yeah, and those "kite" insurance programs that only charge $30-$100 yearly for coverage... good luck getting them to cover you when u need it. Most of those policies are not even underwritten in the US.
