FKA Kiteboarding Forums - East Coast Surf Trip Wed.

Obviously some good winds on tap for Mon/Tues....however, anyone up for a trip to the East Coast on Wed.? No kites, just boards and glassy head high surf. Winds are expected to go offshore Wed and wave conditions are supposed to be epic for the entire day. Have room for 3 in the Rodeo.

May 5 (Sat) - Keep an eye on Wed - Some small lines will begin to trickle in for low tide this PM and continue for lower tides Sunday. The real action kicks off Monday with 25 knot+ NE winds and 6 foot++ chop (charts indicate 12 to 15 feet). Monday looks totally blown away, but winds begin to slack off into the 20 knot range for Tues. What you want to watch for is the winds going off-shore. I can't tell you exactly when it will happen, but it looks like either late Tues PM or early Wed AM. When this happens, indications are we will get near epic surf conditions for at least several hours, and maybe most of the day Wed. This is one of those events you don't want to miss. Surf is going to happen, but quality depends on what the wind does.
