what kind of wind do I need to fly my 12m?
I'm 200lbs.
and if anyone has a cheap 15-16m for sale lemme know

inferno 08-06-2006 10:21 AM

im 195 and id need about 18-19 to fly a 12, it also depends on the type of kite and board size

Z-Type 08-06-2006 10:50 AM

so I'll need at least 20+
it's a c kite and I have a 143cm slingshot board

BigR 08-06-2006 11:22 AM

This morning had about 12 kts and at least two kiters were able to get going easily on the 12m XBow II

Basically a one kite quiver since it also handles 30 kts , In the Gorge last weekend, without even touching the depower strap

Pretty amazing 12-30 kts and all you have to do is switch boards

Z type- I can usually start riding my 12m c kite at about 17-18kts but it only goes up to about 24-25kts at 200lbs

wind should pick up this afternoon, ill keep my eye on it
