Fri

I've got tomorrow off! Looks like it will be picking up later in the day. I was thinking of hitting North Beach or maybe SPB near the tow from like noon on. Anybody else going to be out?

I plan to be in Tampa airport by mid-morning Friday, and can get to Skyway and North Beach hopefully by 11:00-ish.
I have only kited Skyway (both sides), North Beach, and East Beach.
Would definitely be up for North Beach.
Don't know what SPB is.
Hopefully there will be people out tomorrow!

SPB is St. Pete Beach.

I think Roy and I are gonna try Bradenton Beach after we get out of work at 5PM...

50 50 odds of the ranger asking you to leave North Beach.
It's "that time of year" when they start asking us to leave due to birds.

It's a drag driving out there, rigging and then being asked to leave.
I am not saying it's a definite, but I was told last time I was out there that starting mid April that would happen.

Scott!

So where are you going to go on Sat? I was planing to hit N. Beach, but I dont want to have to leave. Its looking pretty hard N on Sat?

Skyway Scott 04-06-2007 07:42 AM

I don't know. I just don't want to drive to N beach, walk out, rig, etc. ....
just to be asked to leave.

Probably the further north, the better. Maybe a downwinder from Sand Key (southern boundary of park) to as far as possible without wind shadow?

I may not be able to ride anyway, Donna and I are adopting a new Rottie.
If you see a very large Rott at the skyway, no worries, he is our new dog and just a warm fuzzy. Very much like Eli was, before he died.

hey scott you could come join me up as honey moon, if its dead north the causway rocks, and if your up to it we could ride the waves at honeymoon in sideoff winds.... :) honey moon is a pretty low profile island so the wind goes right over it and stays pretty solid, not as gusty as i expected...

atleast if something goes wrong, youll be blown off honey moon but directly in to caledesi, so its not that bad ....

I'm thinking sunset gentlemen. Whatever ya'll do, ride safe today and if you head up this way and see a guy flying through the air inverted...it's just lil 'ol me. lol
