i gonna have to say the jimmy lewis boards and there dominatrix concave are some of the best around (judging only from riding big Al's board)

definately one of the smoothest boards ive ridden.....

looks sick, i'm going to see if WSW gets em in and demo them.

Me too, I 'd like to try one of those customs. I have my thoeries about what a quad concave would do for a board. I'm thinking it'll be more stable in the chop at high speeds with extra pop in the jumps. turning..... I am not sure if it'll make looser or more turny or track better. might just get one to find out

Sounds like a good idea. I'd like to try one. I've been hoping and guessing the kiteboard companies would eventually start making boards with molded in fins, like wakeboards, so that they can be ridden without the attachable fins, if desired. This quad concave may work in a similar fashion if they go deep enough.

the LF mission board has that design, its an awsome wake style board, i had two of them this past year.....

Why would quad concave give you pop? Seems similar to a tri-hull design... smoother ride because it breaks up the surface instead of skipping off of it. But it also means more drag because there is more surface area (although not much more so this may be insignificant).

My understanding is that pop comes from loading up the board ... there is actually a formula I picked up from the board making group to calculate how much pop a board design will have. The inputs are width, length, and flex.

So I see, but still not molded in fins. Have you tried riding it without the fins? That concave doesn't look deep enough to do much other than soften landings, etc. I'm sure it's a nice riding board though with fins in, they've used that basic shape for a long time in both wakeboarding and kiteboarding. I used to ride the old Liquid Force Trip 138 wakeboard when they first started using that basic shape.
