Off topic: 220 volts
 
They have 220 v here with funny 2 pin plugs- can I just plug my laptop into a pin adapter and go? Most laps are dual voltage no?

Check the adapter, if it says: "INPUT: 100-240 V" it means that u can plug it in if not you need a trasformer. Enjoy your vacation, here has never been so flat !!

Thanks- I looked closer (damn small print). ANyway I plugged it in and no smoke.

Its flat here too. When we get to the Andes it should elevate somewhat.
