Where Can I Find Kite Lessons Near Pensacola, Fl?
 

Hey guys,
where can I found kite lessons in Pensacola or near it?
I can't get in touch with the NW FLORIDA kite surf school, the email adresses on the sites is not valid...
can anybody help me out?

Check with the guys at XL kites in Ft. Walton Beach. They are good instructors and have a great teaching locations there, very fairly priced too!

thank you, I talked to them and I'll have my first kite lesson next saturday...
For me learning with an instructor first is the only option! Always safety first!
Talking about this, they told me that everything I need to start is the 4h lesson (land and sea) and then, if I'm ok I'll be able to go by myself..
isn't that too little instruction?
do you think the price is ok?
I'm from Italy and I know a school there that asks 250 euros for a 6 lesson pack...
I'm just asking cause, as we said, it's better be safe...for yourself and the others...

The guys over at XLKites are great. Most people who take their first lesson there, often return to the location they teach you. It's on the bay, extremely shallow water, and it great for learning. You can always opt for another water lesson, but you should have a good understanding of how to set up your kite and the basics of the wind window with your first lesson. I don't know how long you plan on being in the area, but those guys are always out there teaching lessons, so if you return to the beach to practice, you will have plenty of help. Those guys are all about safety and helping one another out. All you have to do is ask. Once you are working on your water starts, you can go downwind and walk back up, or talk to XL and see about them giving you some jet ski support to ride you back upwind. That is where I learned to kite, and you can't beat their location for learning. Good luck and have fun!!!

I second XLKites. And there are tons of local kiters near Pensacola. Check out Navarre beach and the 2nd beach access near Portofino.
