kiting in south beach

Hi There;
I'll be on vacation next beach in south beach.
I wanted to ask you if Kiteboarding is allowed in South Beach. I really would like not to drive and ride close to the hotel.
Thanks!!!
Marcos

Technically, kiting has been banned along all of Miami Beach for many years. Some guys go during less busy days south of 2nd. St.. You need to get out and stay out beyond the out of bounds swim buoys while riding.

You would probably do a lot better taking a sea taxi ride to the flats of Miami. Wide open, no lifeguards, rideable with winds from any direction and calm.
