Florida Dominates at the 10th Annual Bridge of the Gods
 

I'd like to send out some love and let the rest of Florida know that this past weekend Brandon Bowe, Matt Collins, and Alex Fox stole the show at our sports longest standing amateur event, The Bridge of the Gods.

This event is probobly the closest thing our sport has to something like the Tampa AM (skateboarding) and has always been one of the best jumpstarts for kiteboarders looking to make a name for themselves.

Alex (Saint Pete) won overall in the mens division pulling out some huge technical moves in front of the hundreds of people that littered the banks of the Columbia River. Matt (Jupiter) took the crown for the juniors division and just barely edged out Brandon Bowe (Naples).

All three riders really represented for us well and deffinitly let the rest of the community know that Florida is ready to set the pace. A big thanks goes out also to Billy Parker (saint pete) for being the head judge of the event as well as Neil Hutchinson (Ft Lauderdale) for MC'ing the event with his always loved commentary.

This was no doubt one of the best events i've ever been to and cannot wait to see it next year. Thanks a ton to Slingshot also for putting together SlingStock, the first camping, music festival in the industry dedicated to the amateur kiteboarding event and a spectacular rail jam provided by The Slider Park Project and Slingshot Wakeboarding.

Doug Widmann who has traveled around for years always thought the talent here in Florida is like no where else.

It's funny, cuz, he lived in the Outer Banks for 8 months, and all the guys up there thought that the Outer Banks local talent was the Shniz dizzle. He comment to all of them was "have you been to Florida?" "Have you seen what's up down there?"

Congrats to the boyz, especially Alex!!!!!!!!!

Definitely a huge congrats goes out to these riders! Went out there, adjusted to the conditions and took the top positions in your categories.
