"florida blows"

This just in.....
Monday 6am 7/21/08: Big day for Dolly. Lots of wind in the channel this morning and the surf is on the way as Dolly reforms and moves into the gulf. Dolly is forecast to strenghten and track NW slowly. We should see a SW swell from her later in the week if she fires up that bottom left quadrant. That would be 5 good sessions in 2 weeks. My surfboards are happy, my kites are sad. |
I Dunno Steve,
Woulda' liked to see a thread strating with: "West Coast Surfing" but, dolly is racing ahead instead of sitting nicely to let a good swell form, Swell and period charts all mostly flat during the week east of LA, as opposed to atlantic swell and period charts that have had some storms for long as a week or more www.magicseaweed.com |
Big R...
True....the storm is moving fast....but I think we still might see a little waist high session this week. I think timing will be critical. Typical gulf waves.....just like seabreezes....its Johnny on the spot mentality with this one. www.aurasurf.com is where I am checking for the latest info as this guy is totally dialed into the waves in the Gulf. I would call him the Skyway Scott of the surfing world in these parts. |
Sounds great...only problem is affording both kiting gear and SUP gear... ;)

Tom....did you get the longboard out today???

Yeah, surfed for about 3 hours. Died off towards the end of the day.
Maybe over, maybe not. Will have to wait and see. |
