fishing guy gone kiter... love it. I bet as he gets better a kite will be standard equipment in that plane... hmmm wonder if he needs a copilot?

Yeah, thats Jose with one of our instructors emily.She taught him down here, and then he was riding with us all winter, so emily got the hook up and got a ride to rum cay. Jose and Emily are very cool people, and Jose is for sured now hooked on something else besides fishing....amzing how addicted people become with kiting.......i guess like me, never understood what drug addiction was like or why you would do that until this sport.....hi my name is paul and i am an addict!

I've been watching "The Spanish Fly" for years. Jose is one of my heroes. Now I find out that he flies his own plane, AND is now into kiteboarding. And gets his own private instructor, Emily, to fly to the Bahamas with him!

That's a sweet airplane. Jose, if you're a member of the forum, what kind is it? It looks like the perfect kiteboarding all terrain vehicle. Plenty of room for gear and is a kerosene burner to boot. <insert envy here>

I thought I had it pretty good. I'll just crawl back to my mundane life.

Another pilot/aircraft owner convert is another Key West local, Paul, of Island Flying Service. Flies the big iron. Paul keep it going!

Spanish fly rocks! Love watching his show as well. He really brings together all elements of the lifestyle that accompanies fishing. Way cool to see him kiteboarding. Don't tell anyone, but my mom has a crush on him. :-P When she met him at the marina, she wouldn't let go of his hand after shaking it.
