Free Diving the Capt. Dan in 100 ft. + Viz!

A short raw clip of a single scooter free dive on the Capt. Dan in 110 ft. of water yesterday. The 175 ft. vessel was a USCG buoy tender until sunk as an artificial reef off Pompano Beach in 1990. I dropped down over the stern and cruised up the length of the ship to the bow providing a good look at the vessel. As you can see viz. looks better than 110 ft.. On the other hand I could almost see the bottom at 110 ft. Why can the camera see further, got me? Wasn't a great deal of current but the waves were rolling in at around 3 to 4 ft. with 15 to 20 kt.+ NW winds from our first strong front of the season.

Stayed tuned for the edited video, should be an intriguing one.

Here is a raw clip of a single dive on the second spot, a shallow piece around 50 ft. of the third reef south of Hillsboro Inlet called Razzle Dazzle. Had 100 ft. viz. in there too! With the water clarity, looks like the Bahamas more than Florida.
