Crandon Park Closed To Kiting During Tennis Tournament
The annual tradition continues with kiting not being permitted at Crandon Park from March 19 through April 1rst for the Erickson Tennis Tournament. More info at: http://miamikiteboarding.com/

why does tennis affect kiting?

#1 they take up all the parking spaces for tournament visitors
#2 they also take up almost all the traffic as well |
They were requiring a shut down of kiting even when I was facilitating access at Crandon over ten years ago. I think they feel overwhelmed by the tournament, traffic as Raul says and figure we can take a time out for the duration.
