I gotta meeting @ 9am tomorrow morning, have fun! might make it in the afternoon.
Last saturday and sunday was awesome, I got enough 9-12M wind to put a smile on my face for a few days  :D |
I'm going to go to work super early to get out for long afternoon session..
might DP Thurs. if its still looking good! |
I take that back, my meeting just got canceled!
See ya out there for DP! :D |
Oh boy I feel a sudden attack of food posioning comming on. Really boss it must have been the mayo on the sandwich yesterday. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow.

South side Skyway looks good for sure (especially if NNE) due to a very low tide at about 8:40 am which should be greatly exaggerated and extended due to the North winds blowing the water out of the bay all night (if the forecast happens). Basically like Danny said!
It tends to be more windy and more stable winds on the south side on NNE as some know. It's easy to rig at low tide and definitely worth the 6 minutes added to the drive (actually taken away for some down south). Thing is, unfortunately, there are lots of very sharp "objects" out there in the water, so if you ride there, I recommend not intentionally touching the bottom with your hands and avoiding contacting..... (well, just don't touch anything if possible!!) I have been cut only rarely anywhere even though I don't wear booties, but the SSSk has gotten me more than any spot and I have ridden there far less than any other spot. (Something gets shredded over there like one in three sessions, not a good ratio). Hopefully it'll blow. :D |
yeah, I'll be out @ SSKY early if we get wind so we will see. might not be wind later on so I'll go kiting at any sign of wind according to the forecast which has it dying later in the day
|
A NE dying throughout the day? I am planning on rigging big right off the bat, that's for sure.

Nsw Dp
I am planning on NSW for DP.
I HAVE limited time and it is closer to Tampa. |
its been steadily over 20 for 2hrs now :)
hopefully it holds, and hopefully it doesnt get anymore east in it or ill be going to north SW |

crossing fingers.. |
i heading to north SW now, i think theres to much east in the wind for the south side
be there in 20min |
Dude do you ever sleep? It is looking pretty NE, I'm heading out after I get one more coffe. I'll stop by SSW and see whats up. If it looks clean NNE I'll rig, if it looks more NE I'm NSW bound.

See you guys out there. I am gonna guess 15 to 18 (just for the heck of it) and rig my big kite

*really* hoping this sticks around..
ugh. if not i will never pass up a morning session again. |
I would NOT RIG BIG.
practically overpowered on the 14m this morning |
raul, it actually got even better after you left :)
it was blowing enough for me to ride a 7m waroo and hit 10ft jumps  thats the first time i have ever ridden a 7m, awsome session, ill be doing a sunset patrol as well, possibly at LP |
I rode the 15m RRD all morning.
The kite tops out at about 25 or so. It started off decent, then at about 8:30 it went to 20+, then tapered down to solid 15 or so for a couple hours and Donna and a bunch of others rode the 15 RRD. By the time we left it was about 12. It'll probably fill in again at 4. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/obhistory/KSPG.html |
north skyway from 2pm til dark.
light at times.. nicely powered most of the time.. as the sun set ..POW! nuked. completely litt on 14m waroo. im sore beyond belief. yee haw. great great great day of kiting.. beautiful day also.. |
north skyway
great session- finally got my landings in order and the dry suit was great! not too cold but works as a great windbreaker and was not too hot
the best part is the extreme range of motion-feels like a light jacket not a heavy wetsuit skywalkers are great-either board super light and easy to hold down even with the 16m waroo Great day!!! |
I just loaded up some pics I took tonight. Lighting wasn't great, but the pics are adequate..... the link is for page 2, the previous page at bottom has some as well.
Yep, that sunset nuke is more dependable than the sensor, that's for certain :D http://www.extremekiteskiteboarding....hp?p=2617#2617 |
great pics Scott..
Jayson was going off yesterday.. f16s were amazing. And he's got this floaty transition loop trick that is just smooth as hell.. Big difference between those that are pulling big tricks and landing the hard stuff compared to those that have been riding for years and years and have this skill and finesse that only tons of experience can bring. |
